First ‘Cloud Atlas’ Clip Is Less Esoteric Than ‘Matrix Reloaded’ But More Than ‘Matrix Revolutions’ (VIDEO)

The first full clip from next month's Cloud Atlas has been released and my enthusiasm for the movie is just as tepid as it was before I saw it. In the spoiler-y clip, six storylines are tied together in less than two minutes without much explanation for what's going on or how we got there. Also I don't know who thought it was a good idea to shove that gross orange wig on Tom Hanks, making him look like a sex offender from the 70s.

All that being said, there's a lot of buzz over the film and I think if nothing else, it will be a visual adventure that will make up for the Wachowski Bros. last movie, Speed Racer. It's difficult enough a task to have multiple story-lines come together over the course of two hours, let alone two minutes, so I'm not writing it off just yet.

Cloud Atlas opens October 26th.
