I had no idea until this very moment that Tom Jane was gonna be in next month's The Predator. Imagine my surprise, then, when he shows up at the 54 second mark in this final trailer for the film. I also understand that absolutely none of you out there give a shit, I just wanted to share my excitement.
This red band trailer for the flick opening two weeks from today shows off plenty of writer/director Shane Black's filthy, pithy dialogue, and also gives us some better looks at the titular "sport hunters." And there's lots of violent kills happening as well, something that's sure to get people jacked for this flick.
The cast for this one is also the best cast for a Predator movie since the first one. It feels like a solid group of character actors who will have good rapport with one another, not a random assortment of actors chosen by pulling names out of a hat like 2010's Predators—Adrien Brody, Larry Fishburne, Walton Goggins, and Topher Grace? What are we doing?
I sincerely hope my expectations for this movie aren't unreasonably high, but after seeing this trailer, I feel like I'm totally sold on this thing. We'll find out two weeks from today, on September 14, if it all paid off.
