After five seasons I always assumed that Mad Men was about the lives and loves of the staff of a New York City advertising agency. Turns out I was wrong and its heart, the show is really about the lives and loves of a bunch of people with a really bad case of March Madness. As you'll see from the supercut above, the show has really been a cryptic 6-year-long conversation about the NCAA tournament. It's like playing a Beatles' record backwards, but instead of hearing a recipe for a rippin' lentil soup, you're finding out who Don Draper puts as his favorite to win the whole damn thing.
And don't forget that Mad Men finally returns on AMC April 7th.
