Despite the tragic death of actor Paul Walker, production on Fast & Furious 7 will continue, sources are telling The Hollywood Reporter.

Walker was slated to return to Atlanta yesterday to continue shooting, but production was put on hold after his death. While the bulk of filming has already taken place, Walker and other cast members were also slated to film additional scenes in Abu Dhabi this January. Now, Universal and director James Wan are scrambling to come up with a solution for finishing the film without one of the main characters.

"All of us at Universal are heartbroken," a studio spokesperson said. "Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
