Hollywood is probably running out of superheros to do movies on, because they've launched a new Spiderman franchise just five years after the last one ended.
The Amazing Spider-Man doesn't borrow much from the previous series' storyline, aside from our webbed hero Peter Parker, who's played by Andrew Garfield. Spidey even has a new lady love named Gwen Stacy, who's played by the gingertastic Emma Stone, to replace Mary Jane.
We're still a month away from the movie's theatrical release, so check out this new extended TV spot for The Amazing Spider-Man while you wait!
The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans).
The Amazing Spider-Man swings to 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters on July 3rd and stars Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field with Garfield and Stone.
