Elsa Hosk stirred up social media controversy this Halloween by dressing as Princess Diana.

Channeling Diana's iconic style, Elsa recreated the princess’s famous look in a tight black dress, short blonde wig and a sparkly big necklace.

Though some fans appreciated the homage, many felt it was in poor taste to use a beloved public figure like Diana as a costume, sparking debate in her Instagram comments.

Some users argued that it trivialized Diana’s legacy, while others defended Elsa's intent to honor the late princess’s timeless style.
