You're not a legit white guy unless you admit, out loud, that Eminem—seen above buttercupping someone—is awesome. Having said that, his new tease for the theme song to the upcoming comic book movie Venom sounds every bit as ridiculous as one of those awesome late 80s/early 90s end credits rap songs that summed up the plot of the film you had just seen. He posted it to his official Twitter account yesterday...

Wow, is it just me or are we on our way back to those halcyon days when the title song that played over the end credits served as a nice reminder of everything you've just seen in the film? I have no doubt this one will be eerily precise in its details, like a classic of the genre, "On Our Own" from Ghostbusters II. Found about Vigo? The master of evil? Try to battle my boys? That's not legal!
Now that we know about his rampant drug addictions during this period, this video makes so much more sense.
Anyway, if you're a fan of the genre, you know all the hits. No point recapping them in an article about rap songs recapping the plot of the film you've just seen. Or is there?
No. There isn't.
Venom is in theaters on October 5. If Eminem's song is indeed a five minute spoiler for the film, though, the studio may try to keep it under wraps until then.
