The Ultimate Eli Manning Face Collection to Get You Ready for Thursday Night Football

The New York Giants head down to Carolina to take on the Panthers tonight with both teams looking to get to 2-1 on the season. EliManning and his many (hilarious) facial expressions will try to take out Cam Newton and company. It's going to be tough for New York, co-leading receiver Hakeem Nicks, leading rusher Ahmad Bradshaw and offensive line anchor David Diehl are all out for the game.

But what's most intriguing to me tonight will be the always entertaining facial expressions of Manning throughout the game. The best are when he throws a pick. He just looks so miserable. And this is a guy who threw for 243 yards in the fourth quarter last week. Jay Cutler may look apathetic, Eli sometimes just looks uninterested. He's not, but he looks like it.

I had some fun pointing out the expressions of Shane Battier during the NBA season, and Eli is that guy during the NFL season, and really out of season too. Of course, this is just all in good fun, because game expressions (especially when you're getting hit by some 275 lb. freak of nature at blazing fast speeds) are done in the heat of battle while under duress.

Of course, Eli can hold up his two Super Bowl trophies and his two Super Bowl MVP trophies and stick his tongue out at all of us anytime he wants. Remember, you can't spell 'Elite' without Eli.
