Before the ink had even dried on the contract giving Disney access to all the Marvel characters previously owned by 20th Century Fox, fans have been predicting that these (mostly mutant) characters would start turning up in MCU movies immediately. The sad reality is that it's not quite so simple, as Avengers: Infinity War and You, Me, and Dupree co-director Joe Russo reminds us.
Bear in mind, these guys have messed with us before, deliberately spreading misinformation in hopes of distracting all of us. Whether we're right on the mark or nowhere near it, they're going to deny, deny, deny, as Joe Russo did again recently, courtesy of Comic Book Movie...
"It could be a little time, with the integration of Fox and all the Fox characters," Russo explained. "I haven’t talked to [Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige] directly about it, so I don’t know what his plans are. But my guess would be they’re gonna integrate some of the other characters and take their time doing that."
I doubt that's the final word on it, but don't expect Galactus or any other character of that nature to show up in Avengers 4. Their focus will mostly be on tying up the loose ends of the first three phases of the MCU before we see these characters turn up in Phase 4.
