2012 is election year, so you can expect Hollywood to roll out some politically-themed comedies to lighten up the mood and make everyone laugh during this particularly charged season.
First up is Jay Roach's The Campaign, which pits Will Ferrell against Zach Galifianakis as they both run for the congressional seat in a North Carolina district. The plot might sound a little boring, but this newly-released trailer from the movie will change your mind in a heartbeat.
Ferrell plays incumbent congressman Cam Brady who has always run uncontested. But when he messes up, some incredibly rich businessmen decided to put up a rival candidate in the form of Marty Huggins, portrayed by Galifianakis. The race starts out clean, but things get dirty and underhanded pretty quickly.
The Campaign stars Jason Sudeikis, Katherine LaNasa, Dylan McDermott, and John Lithgow alongside Ferrell and Galifianakis and hits theaters on August 10th.
