‘Dead Island: Epidemic’ Brings MOBA Madness to the Series (VIDEO)

At the best of times, Dead Island would be a questionable choice of vacation destination. The clue's in the name, right there. This is why tourists flock to Sexy Young Lesbians' Nudist Colony Island annually (Tuesday is volleyball and trampolining day, incidentally).

But when a freaking epidemic is reported, that's when you really want to stay the eff away from Banoi. Well, common sense dictates. But nuts to common sense, why not take the opportunity to set a spangly new MOBA there? Hold on to your butts, it's Dead Island: Epidemic.

This franchise spin-off eschews its action RPG roots entirely. It's an arena combat affair, with more twisted humor than usual. Imagine Dead Island, Dead Rising and Itchy and Scratchy had a bastard lovechild, some-freaking-how, and you're just about there.

Improvised weapons to fashion, character classes to try out, effing zombies everywhere to shoot in the ass... we're definitely on board. It's an interesting mix of genre staples and something a little different, which is why the developers have billed it as the world's first 'ZOMBA.' Take a look at this trailer from IGN.
