New York Giants rookie running back David Wilson's quest for the Pro Football Hall of Fame took a hit in week 16. After a breakout performance in week 14, it looked like Wilson might not have been over confident in himself. It was back in October when Wilson, who was barely getting playing time, said he would be enshrined in Canton after his career was over.
In Week 16, Wilson saw his playing time drop with the return of starter Ahmad Bradshaw. The Giants got down 24-7 in the first half, meaning they were going to have to throw to catch up, further limiting Wilson's touches. DW ended the game with three carries for 17 yards, with 14 of those coming on one burst. Wilson didn't have any receptions, but did return five kickoffs with an average of 23 yards per return.
Canton probability after Week 16 - Low.
