Will Shatner's got quite the voice. You might remember him from his long stint as Captain Kirk on the USS Enterprise on Star Trek. He's well in his eighties now so he's understandably absent from film projects nowadays. But one thing he's happy to lend his voice to is this new app he's released called 'Shatoetry.'
I'm not too crazy over the name because 'shat' sounds like 'shart' and, well, nobody wants to shart. But maybe something that's easy to remember is what they were going for.
Basically, the app lets you re-arrange random words to form 'Shatoetry' so you can create your own 'Shatisms.' Will has pre-recorded all these words so you can have him read out your own inspired (or uninspired) prose for some good fun.
Shatner himself is pretty excited over the launch of the app, as you can see in the promo he recorded for it in the player above. The Shatoetry app is available for $2.99 on the iTunes App Store.
