Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving was the runaway winner of the NBA Rookie of the Year award, with 117 out of 120 possible first place votes for the honor.

Irving came to Cleveland after being one and done at Duke, and was instantly the team's on-court leader. Irving thanked his teammates and coaching staff, as well as Coach K. Irving averaged 18.5 points, 5.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds on the year.

Kyrie is the second Cavs player to be ROY, after LeBron James took home the honor in 2004. So there you go Cleveland, you may have only won 21 games this year, but at least you have a point guard to build around.
