The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition hits stores tomorrow. And as you'd expect with a DVD box set that contains six disks but only three films, there are many special bonus features. Chief among them is Christian Bale's audition reel for Batman Begins, which has already found its way onto Youtube.
In the clip, we see Bale wearing Val Kilmer's Batsuit from Batman Forever. I imagine George Clooney's suit was excluded because Christopher Nolan is a well-known nipple hater. We also hear Bale doing an early version of his Batman voice, which is known as the world's worst Cookie Monster impression. To top it all off, Bale is reading for the part with Amy Adams, who later went on to star in Man of Steel, and will most likely share the screen with Ben Affleck's Batman in the not to distant future.
It's a small world. I guess we have Anti-Monitor and the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' to thank for that.
