Chet Haze Admits Using N Word For Attention

The only thing worse than an explanation from someone not so bright for their bad behavior is an unsolicited explanation from someone not so bright for their bad behavior. We, the world, no longer care what you have to say once we’ve written you off as bona fide bumbling buffoon. Burnt out lightbulb Chet Haze won’t be receiving a “son of the year” coffee mug from papa Hanks anytime soon but it doesn’t hurt to try. Christmas is coming up, and that means ‘tis the season of giving. Chet wants someone to give him a second chance after spewing the “n word” all over his raps. I’m not sure exactly who that is though. Society in general? Possibly. His two black fans that look like the Community edition Donald Glover? Maybe. Either way he wants everyone to know that his repeated use of racial slurs on his records were the side effects of drugs and the longing for acceptance by African Americans.

Chet Haze says that drugs and trolling are to blame for his flagrant use of the N-word years ago. In 2015, Tom Hanks’ rapping son, 28, came under scrutiny after using the slur repeatedly in his music and on social media. At the time, he defended himself by saying that since he identified with hip hop culture, it was OK for him to use the word.

“Number one, I was on a lot of drugs … I wanted to be, like, down, you know what I mean? I just felt like I wasn’t enough.”

Haze, who’s now more known for his acting credits than his music, also said he thinks he was acting out in a bid for attention.

“Low-key, like subconsciously, looking back on it now I realize I was trolling,” he said. “I thought, like, crazy antics and just wilding the f—k out and doing some crazy s—t was going to like spark my career.”

I find it funny that Bob Dylan and John Lennon have more street cred that lil Chet will ever see in his lifetime. Both white, both have used the “n word” in their music. No apology. So I guess that means since Haze couldn’t write any hits he had to hang it up and apologize. At least after this faux pas he has his father’s money to fall back on. I hope Malibu’s most wanted has learned a lesson in all of this and stays far away from music for a long time, hopefully forever if we’re lucky.
