Fancy a footlong black dog? It's obviously not the most appealing fastfood offering, but it exists, and it probably causes even the most innocent of people to come up with pervy thoughts when they see or hear about it.
So why's it black? It's not burnt, if that's what you're thinking (because, really, who'd want to eat a burnt wiener?) It's actually made using edible bamboo charcoal powder and it's called the 'Black Terra Hot Dog.' It's being sold at Vegas Premium Dogs located at Tokyo's Akihabara district.
I guess it's true what everyone says, about Japan being the place where you can find even the weirdest and most unusual of stuff.
Looks can be pretty deceiving, though, because while the whole thing looks black, it doesn't take like ash at all. It's just a supposedly 'gorgeous' pigment to modify the appearance of the hotdog, although I'm not sure it really makes it more appealing. But you be the judge.
