Man, the secrecy surrounding Star Wars: The Last Jedi is something else. We're a little over seven weeks away from the film hitting theaters and the details have been scant at best. Even the rumor mill and reddit have been hard pressed to glean any kind of spoilers, which likely has a lot to do with the way Lucasfilm and Disney keep things on lockdown.
This new behind-the-scenes video from USA Today focuses on writer/director Rian Johnson and his journey to bring the latest chapter in the saga to the screen. There's plenty of fluff in here, along with a heaping helping of stuff we've seen before, but keep your eyes peeled for some surprises like Benicio Del Toro's character in Imperial garb walking with a similarly disguised Finn and Rose. There's also a quick look at a space horse, aka a Fathier, in a stable.
I must admit I'm kind of okay with going into this film cold. I knew way too much about Force Awakens just from speculation made from watching the trailers and educated guessing. This one, not so much. It's obvious that there's going to be an "I am your father" sized twist in this one and I'm certain that Lucasfilm is doing everything in its power to keep that secret. We'll all find out what it is when The Last Jedi finally hits theaters on December 15.
