Country superstar Carrie Underwood has confirmed she will be performing at Donald Trump’s 2025 presidential inauguration, and let’s just say, not everyone is hitting the high notes of excitement.
Underwood addressed the buzz directly, saying in a statement: “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
While Underwood’s words emphasized unity, the response from many of her fans has been anything but harmonious. Social media exploded with reactions ranging from disappointment to outright backlash. “This is a bad look, Carrie,” one user commented. Another wrote, “You just lost a lifelong fan.”
Others, however, came to her defense. “She’s an artist, not a politician. Let her sing,” one supporter posted, while another added, “Music should be about bringing people together, not division.”
The funniest thing about all of this, is that fans are chiming in about the news on a Carrie's latest instagram post, a post about her garlic.
