As we know, Call of Duty's Zombies mode has become an integral part of the series. Introduced in Call of Duty: World at War, it was an oddball little minigame distraction, in which you were charged with blasting hordes of festering undead Nazis. Needless to say, that's a concept we'll always have time for, and the phenomenal popularity of the mode saw it expanded with new maps and mechanics for Black Ops and Black Ops II.
Which brings us to Treyarch's freshly released ‘Origins' trailer, and questions of just what in holy hell is going on within it. Every story has a beginning, it states; pausing for a melodramatic interlude of extreme close-ups of some sweaty dudes before finishing the thought, and an end... Then a huge pissed-off mech appears for no reason at all.
Zombies has its own separate campaign and storyline, which most recently ended in half-assed and inconclusive fashion. This latest clip seems to suggest some kind of nourishing knowledge-light being shed on the plot, but we'll have to wait to see what new content is afoot. Still, as we say, a huge pissed-off mech is on board, so we are too.
