If you're like me, all you really learned about the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer released last week was that Robert Redford is in it. And there are explosions and bad guys, and something about freedom versus fear. But that was about it. You already knew you'd see Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, and that Cap's best bud Bucky would return as the villainous Winter Soldier.
So needless to say, the trailer left a lot to be desired. Fortunately for people like me, there's some good news: when we go see Thor: The Dark World next week in 3D—and yes, we are going to see Thor: The Dark World next week in 3D—we'll get to see a five-minute sneak peak of Captain America 2. That's an additional two and a half minutes of Captain America footage.
What form will this two and a half minutes take? That remains to be seen. Maybe they'll show us an entire scene. Maybe they'll just throw in a bit more plot dialogue. The main takeaway is that we'll be getting a extra dose of Marvely goodness. And that should make you happy.
