Today In Japanese Weirdness: The Burger King Red Burger

Remember the Japanese Burger King Black Burger? It was a black bun flavored with squid ink with black cheese and a regular patty. One may ask why Japanese Burger King did this. The only thing I can think of is that the Japanese eat weird stuff just to show off that they can. But not to be outdone with the black burger, they built a hamburger sandwich born from the bowels of hell. You can tell it is Satanic because it is red, the color of the beast. It is called the AKA Samurai Burger and it also comes in chicken. The burger bun is red supposedly because of tomato powder. Sure, "tomato powder". More like brimstone.

I mean, you eat at Burger King you get what you get. But still, there is something perverse in making burgers different colors just for the hell of it. Was there a big call for that? Were people going, "You know, I like this Whopper and all but I really wish it was a different color,"? No, no one said that. So, Japan, please listen to your friend Jack-san and leave the burger alone.
