Bud Selig Says the MLB Replay System is Fine Because Attendance is Good

Today's lesson in 2+2 equals lunch comes from Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig. Bud was speaking to the media yesterday when a reporter asked if MLB was going to expand the instant replay policy. Keeping this in baseball terms, Bud's answer was straight out of left field.

People in our sport don't want any more. Given our attendance and everything we're doing, we're in the right place with instant replay.

Got that? Since people are going to games, there's no reason to make replay any better. If people are showing up, they clearly don't worry about things like blown calls. The fans are in the seats, what more do you people want from us?

Look, MLB has always been a little scared of change, that's no secret. I didn't know Selig was also scared of giving a coherent answer to a question. But hey, the umps are doing fine. I mean, it's not like I could just post a bunch of videos of blown calls that instant replay could have fixed, right? 

I don't know, maybe some of these could have used an extra look.
