TV & FILM

So, two weeks from this very moment, a whole bunch of you will have seen The Last Jedi and I'll still be five hours away from my showtime. Now that we're in the home stretch, I think it's safe to say we're not going to see much in the way of new footage, but this TV spot that ran during last night's Wonderful World of Disney program on ABC and gave us some tasty hints at things to come.
First and foremost, it's great hearing the classic Star Wars theme playing over the footage. Honestly, if that music doesn't give you goosebumps, you might be an android. There were flashes here and there of new things from Captain Phasma welcoming someone back—presumably Finn—to Kylo Ren rocking out with his emo self.
Ultimately I think that the vast majority of people are going to say that The Last Jedi is not as good as The Force Awakens, but the fans will instantly recognize it as one of the best entries in the saga. For my money, it'll be worth it just to see Luke Skywalker in a movie again. I never thought I'd see that as long as I lived.
