Just like the first Bioshock title maintained the constant threat of flooding and skull-crushing ocean pressure as one of the "benefits" of a city built on the ocean floor, Bioshock Infinite is doing something similar except with gravity. That's one of the risks of building Columbia --the game's setting-- as a floating city in the sky. The blending of music and action in this trailer will definitely get you hyped for another Bioshock adventure. The liberal use of the pistol in this clip is making this Bioshock seem more first-person "shootery" than role-playing "adventurey." Assuming the franchise isn't departing from what makes it so unique with all of its inventory and ability managment, this trailer is probably intended to capitalize on the first-person-shooter fever that's overwhelming everybody right now with the impending releases of Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Watch and you'll see what we mean. Oh and if you're really jonesing for as much Bioshock Infinite as you can stand, check out the online web offering 2K Games is pushing. It's like steampunk tiddlywinks but it's online and it'll get you stuff.
