This weekend thousands of grown men dressed like cartoon horses descended on Baltimore for Bronycon 2013. For those of you lucky enough to not know what a Brony is, it's a man or boy that is into the animated TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Like, REALLY into it. Like, dress up like friggin' multicolored ponies and prancing around into it. There were booths selling all kinds of My Little Pony merch and it also gave Bronies an opportunity to meet other sick and twisted f$cks like themselves.
I'm not one to judge someone for occasionally doing some silly thing like cosplay, but these guys take it to another level. I also don't see the appeal of My Little Pony to a bunch of guys. I remember when My Little Pony came out in the 80's, my guy cousins and I would indulge in breaking our female cousin's Ponies for their inherent lameness. And you know there is some sex happening between people in pony suits. I mean, in the grand scheme of things there is nothing WRONG with it. They aren't hurting anyone. But of all the weird niche fandoms out there I understand this one the least.
