TV & FILM

Remember a time not too long ago when Syfy (then known as Sci Fi) was building itself up with respected original programming like Battlestar Galactica and not whoring itself out with Sharktopaclypse vs Super-Spermhurricanetornado movies starring Boy George or Pat Benatar, or whatever 80s teeny bopper they can dredge up for a two-week film shoot.
Syfy is finally trying to redeem itself by bringing things back around to their most successful franchise. If Caprica was a heavy-handed, dull series that glommed onto the Battlestar name in order to curry fanboy ratings, the new web series on Machinama Prime in eight parts and early next year on Syfy as a 2-hour TV-movie looks like the medicine every Galactica fan has been waiting for.
The first installment chronicling young William Adama's adventures during the first Cylon War is available to watch above.
