In my humble opinion Alan Moore's Batman: The Killing Joke is the greatest Batman story ever written and probably in the top three greatest comic books of all time. It tells the origin story of the Joker and has him try to prove to Batman that one bad day can push someone over the edge. And let's just say that The Joker goes REALLY far to prove his point. There was a question whether or not the new animated film version of Killing Joke would get an R rating or if it was going to be severely censored. The decision has been made to keep it dark as F and make it have an R rating. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will return to play Batman and The Joker and I expect that it is going to be friggin' awesome. I predict that it will make Batman V. Superman look campy like the 60's Batman TV show in comparison. I was really worried they'd go for a PG-13 to make it more palatable to kids. Nope.

Thank God. I'm sick of Hollywood trying to pander to kids at the expense of story. I for one applaud the filmmakers for saying F that. I can't wait.
