Awesome Mods: Hacked Portal Gun Can Levitate this Companion Cube (VIDEO)

So Caleb Kraft didn't build everything from scratch,  but what he managed to do here is pretty impressive. You all know what Portal is, right? Good. Assuming you do and that you actually play the game, then you're more or less familiar with the Portal Gun that people have been making replicas of ever since the game shot to popularity.

Caleb's gun here isn't some plastic useless piece of crap because it's been modded and can actually levitate a companion cube! It's actually pretty awesome. How? I won't bore you with that stuff (but you can hit the break if you really want to know!)

So how'd Caleb do it? Insert drum roll here. Through... magnets! What he did was stuff micro-controlled coils to a Portal gun and stick a magnet into a companion cube that was made out of foam. And there you have it.
