Another Year, Another Round In The Epic PlayStation Vs Xbox Porn-Ogling War

Rival console publishers have never been able to resist a little one-upsmanship. Or rather, a huge effin' heaping helping of it. Back in the nineties, they were busting out wit-tastic slogans like Sega Does What Nintendon't to burn each other, and other such shenanigans. The Sonic vs Mario days are well behind us now, but that same spirit lives on.

Here in the spangly new world of 2016, Microsoft and Sony are still at it. We've already seen them both wang-waving over their new year line-ups, trying to outdo each other with those. We've seen Sony give Xbox One the middle finger with ‘console exclusives' (as in, games only coming to PC and PlayStation), a term that they probably just pulled out of their asses. Nintendo are just… y'know, doing their Nintendo thing as always, but these two are always at each other.

So are their fans, a lot of the time. But most of us are forgetting the only contest between the two systems that really matters: who's the top porn ogler?

This has been quite a goddamn story, if you've been following it (here and here, if you haven't). Various porn sites like busting out statistics every now and then, about how gaming systems use their sites and the most common search requests from each console and that sort of thing. I've no clue why we want to know this, but we totally do.

So what's new in PornHub's freshly-released yearly review? It turns out that PS4 users account for almost 50% of all traffic to the site from games consoles, with Xbox One lagging a little at 37.9%. 9% of us are getting our PornHub on from our Wiis, apparently, while 1.3% choose the 3DS of all things.

So, um… good job, PlayStation. For more interesting facts from PornHub's 2015 in Review (such as: 4,392,486,580 hours of porn were watched on the site last year, which is a whole lot of porn right there), go check it out here. NSFW, natch.
