It's been disputed whether or not an "Instagram model" is an actual thing. I would wager to say that, for someone like Amy Lee Summers here, taking the number of followers they have in to consideration when making the distinction. Amy has almost nine hundred thousand followers on Instagram, so I would wager to say that the only thing appropriate to call her in an official capacity is an Instagram Model.
I'm sure that the good people over at 138 Water are hoping that this campaign will help us to drop the "Instagram" qualifier and just call her a model. That day will come, rest assured, but until it does, I think Instagram Model suits her just fine. It's too bad, though, that she's associated with an app that rejects nudity. That's probably why we all have such a negative reaction to the term.
Sure, you guys can argue and fuss and fight amongst yourselves about whether or not I'm allowed to call someone an Instagram model, but unless you can come up with a better descriptor for someone with nearly a million followers and no other discernible talents, the name stays.
