That is one hell of a nice hat that Alessandra Ambrosio is wearing. That is one of the unfair double standards that still exists in our society. Women can whatever hat they want, no matter how ridiculous it may be. But if a man sees an old stovepipe hat in an antique store he has to pretend that he isn’t interested because he knows he will have to endure a lot of ridicule while wearing it.
There will always be people catcalling him on the street saying things like, “Hey, Abe, where is your beard?” or, “Look out behind you! I see John Wilkes Booth.” And he will never be allowed to wear it when he goes to a theater. Nobody behind him will be able to see the stage. And if a man cannot wear his top hat to the theater then what is the point of even having one?
And yet for some reason I am expected to tolerate the mountains of hair that a woman wraps up on the top of her head. Just because you are 5’5” does not mean you have a deficit to take advantage of. Just shave it all off, see what I care. (That was a bluff, ladies, please don’t shave it off.)
