If you want to walk into Blade Runner 2049 cold, knowing nothing about the plot or potential returning characters from the original, I suggest you skip this trailer and wait for the flick to come out on Friday.
The rest of you, check this out...
I must admit, the two hour and forty three minute running time scared me off a bit, but seeing Edward James Olmos' Gaff return got me awfully nostalgic. I feel like I'm gonna have to see it in the theater, just for the spectacle alone and also because with long movies, you have to trap me in a room with them, otherwise I just don't watch them. I get the feeling a lot of people aren't as hung up on run times like I am, but as someone with a sensitive bladder, I have to be aware of these things.
So while this is arguably a film that we neither wanted nor asked for, I'm starting to reach a point where I'm glad we're getting it. And don't be fooled by those big bold reviews either, check out the sources of some of those quotes. I've never heard of half of them. Blade Runner 2049 opens this Friday.
