Tex Hollywood - January 9, 2025

The Hollywood Sign has not burned down to date, but the fires have claimed over 50 billion dollars in damage and forced 130,000 people to evacuate, five people have died and we'll assume countless animals have also perished in this tragedy.

In the event you've just woken from a coma, parts of Los Angeles are on fire and a causing a huge amount of damage closer to the city than previous fires, in what is being compared to the fires in Maui a few years back.

The people of the internet are obviously shocked by the images coming out from the area with aggressive fires engulfing multi-million dollar mansions and displacing many people.

People are fighting about the cause of the fires, was it arson, climate change or negligence.

People are fighting about the politics behind the fires, because there seems to be severe government negligence in some of the stories we're hearing, like the defunding or reducing the budgets of the fire department, to mismanaging the forests due to environmental regulations.

Other rumors include insurance companies having secretly taken wild fire protection coverage off of policies in the pat year. People want to know why they turned off water to certain hydrants due to environmental regulations.

Then people are mad about the corruption in Los Angeles around their water supply or lack of supply that is controlled by a handful of private companies which is the premise of the movie Chinatown

They are mad that they are the highest taxed state, but their governments have not put their best interests first or protected them the way they should.

Ultimately, the biggest concern is for the safety of the people and the animals that are victims of this fiery disaster. There are farm animals, horses, pets and wild animals who are at risk of dying if they haven't already died.

The secondary concern is helping people rebuild, because losing everything sucks. The victims aren't all millionaires and even for the millionaires, losing everything is a tragedy even if you can replace it all financially.

The last concern is whether this was all one big cover-up by the people on the Epstein / Diddy lists, destroy the evidence by destroying a city. A popular conspiracy theory, but far too sophisticated a plan to orchestrate. Negligence from public workers being overpaid and underworked because they've been allowed to be lazy for so long the infrastructure is finally collapsing is more realistic.
