AppleTV is making more than just buzzworthy TV shows like The Morning Show and See, they're also getting into the moviemaking business. Their first feature film, The Banker, will receive a limited theatrical run next month before moving to its permanent home on AppleTV. The film centers around the true story of two black businessmen in the 1950s who bought two banks and used them to give black families mortgages, as this was pre-Civil Rights and banks at the time were quite content to employ overtly racist tactics.

The film brings together three actors best known for their work in superhero movies—well, I guess Sam Jackson's not best known as Nick Fury, but it certainly raised his profile. Jackson co-stars with Anthony Mackie, the MCU's new Captain America, and Nicholas Hoult, who just wrapped his tenure as Beast in the Fox-Mutant Universe. This information will be all over the imdb trivia section, which is becoming a real plague on mankind.

Word to anyone feeling like they need to submit imdb trivia whenever actors from superhero movies star in non-superhero movies together, it's not trivia. At this point, everyone has been in a superhero movie and consistently pointing this out is beyond reproach at this point. Give it a rest. Submit actual trivia.

The Banker opens in select theaters on December 6 before moving to its permanent home on AppleTV in early 2020.
