Taylor Swift Looks Different

Vogue magazine pitched Taylor Swift on a day in the real life of Taylor Swift piece. Swift approved and randomly picked the day she was going to be the maid of honor and sing at her childhood friend's wedding. It's unclear if the childhood friend is real or a super cute paid extra, along with several other visits Swift and the reporter make in her quaint hometown where everybody steps out of a Norman Rockwell painting to deliver adorable quotes about Taylor Swift as a child.

Soon we arrive at a clearing with a barn and a small farmhouse. This is the place, they tell me. Taylor and Andrea have not made any calls or arrangements about visiting. It's going to be a random drop-in from a pop star, like the Taylor Swift Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes or something.

Taylor's mom and manager rides along to give the cues and pass out the hundreds in their wake. The wedding guests are told not to bring cellphones to the wedding so they may focus their attention on the bride and groom. Also not capture Taylor singing for free. The entire day's journey read like a frightened state newspaper reporter tagging along with Kim Jung Un to watch him unexpectedly help birth a foal at a random elderly couple's farm. All of these magazines go in understanding it's puff piece or you never work again. Taylor Swift owns the media and she knows what to do with them. Don't make me shit in your mouth twice.
