Every once in awhile a man wins at a woman’s game. Kevin Federline needs his jersey hanging up in the Hall of Fame and every establishment that women frequent so they can be reminded that men like him exist out in the world. There’s probably one new entertainer every minute that falls victim to the legal extortion known as child support by someone way less talented than them. But Kevin has turned the tables around. He’s turned into the talentless money grabbing groupie that uses their offspring as their primary source of income and valuable chess pieces to position themselves to never work again. Check and mate Britney. He’s looking to increase the $20,000 he receives in child support monthly because Britney is his boss and he feels his full-time position of stay-at-home dad is deserving of a raise.
An attorney for Federline alerted Spears and her legal team that he would like to re-negotiate the amount the singer pays him in child support each month. Spears, 36, and Federline, 39, share custody of two sons from their fraught marriage: Sean Preston, 12, and Jayden James, 11.
After Federline asked for double the alleged $20,000 he collects monthly from Spears, the pop star’s father Jamie Spears — her court-appointed conservator who controls the singer’s finances — offered to set a budget for Federline rather than discuss increasing child support. Spears’s team threatened to audit Federline’s child support spending; Federline’s attorney responded by requesting to see Spears’s 2017 tax return and could allegedly seek millions of dollars in back child support pay. (As of June 2017, Spears was worth $34 million, per Forbes.)
20 thousand a month is more than enough to live off of and take care of two children but why not go for broke. Britney should want the best for her kids and pleb kid lunchables just won’t cut it anymore. Organic and gluten-free meals are clearly the only option here. Kev deserves every penny and more. I hope Spears is thinking about the kids before she attempts to fight his request for more funds.
