Wakanda Revealed in New ‘Black Panther’ Featurette (VIDEO)

It seems hard to believe but we're a mere three weeks and change away from the release of Black Panther, the 18th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This new featurette takes us inside the fictional African kingdom of Wakanda and gives us just enough new footage to keep stoking our excitement. There's also a hint of an action scene inside the mines of Wakanda—hinted at via this LEGO set—though there looks to be some sort of Tron-esque light cycle in there too. 

I'm also intrigued by whomever this is...

They're keeping this character in the shadows for now, but I'm betting it's M'Baku (aka Man-Ape), played in the film by relative newcomer Winston Duke. Duke and director Ryan Coogler have said that the character won't be called Man-Ape in the film or wear his gorilla-head costume because, you know, it's 2018.

Either way, the point is that there's still a lot to uncover in this flick. Unlike Thor: Ragnarok, it seems like they're actually keeping some things a secret, which is nice for a change. As much as I bitch about seeing that 360 shot of him flipping between cars, I'm glad they're showing that rather than spoiling some other, better action sequence. Black Panther opens on February 16.
