Good news today for fans of sexy-but-deranged female comic book supervillains. According to Collider, Australian actress Margot Robbie (a.k.a. Leonardo DiCaprio's smoking hot wife in Wolf of Wall Street) has been tabbed to play fan favorite Harley Quinn in the upcoming DC superflick Suicide Squad. That's the DC movie up next after Batman v Superman.

Never heard of Harley Quinn? Well here's her deal. She used to be a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum. Then she fell in love with the Joker, one of her patients, and became a bad guy. She was first introduced in Batman: The Animated series, but she was so popular that she eventually started appearing in the comics—first in Batman, and eventually in Suicide Squad.

Does the fact that Harley Quinn (Get it? Harlequin? Like a jester?) is in Suicide Squad mean that the Joker will also be in Suicide Squad? Unfortunately, no. But unless they decided to completely rework her origin story, it does mean we're going to see the Joker at some point—whether in Suicide Squad or perhaps later in a standalone Batfleck movie.

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 2016, six months after Batman v Superman.
