If you are bonkers for Breaking Bad, I've got bad news and good news.

First, the good: this post will contain no spoilers about the finale of Breaking Bad...unless you didn't know the show had ended, in which case, whoops.

Now here's the bad news, which isn't so much bad as it is mildly disappointing to some people: the Breaking Bad spinoff based on lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Better Call Saul, is not going to be "Breaking Bad 2.0." Or at least, that's how Odenkirk himself put it in a recent interview. Yes, the show will essentially be a Breaking Bad prequel, which means that all of your favorite meth-making characters will be in play. And yes, both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have expressed interest in making cameos. But the new series is going to have a decidedly more comedic tone than the TV classic that spawned it.

Depending on your disposition, like I said, you might find this news disappointing. If you still can't handle the fact that the show is over, you might have been hoping Better Call Saul could give you a bit of a fix. But tough luck. The show is over, and now Bob Odenkirk wants Saul to be funny. You're just going to have to deal with it.
