Look, we all secretly love porn. But people (like your girlfriend) tend to get all judgmental and assume you're a perv if your interest in it extends beyond the socially acceptable framework—when no one else is around, between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
Fortunately, these days, you have some other options. Back in August, of course, there was the cleverly titled Linda Lovelace biopic, Lovelace. Now there's word that Starz is collaborating with Owen Wilson and Emmy-winning Law and Order writer Rene Balcer to develop a show called WonderWorld. Wilson will star and executive produce, Balcer will pen the script and run the show.
What's it about? Well porn, obviously. But more specifically, it will chronicle the (mostly) true story of two straight-laced undercover FBI agents who infiltrated the violent mob-controlled porn industry of the 1980s. So basically it's a mob show with more perms, more mustaches and, hopefully, more nudity.
It's your new favorite show already, isn't it?
Unfortunately, since they've just now been given the green light to develop the show, we have no idea when it will premier. You'd have to think late 2014 or early 2015, though. Hopefully you can hold out that long.
