Not long ago, Writer/Director/Producer Frank Darabont was unceremoniously dumped from his hit show, The Walking Dead. And while the show survived (some would say thrived) without him, now Darabont is anxious to prove he can bounce back with his new TNT show Mob City(formerly known as L.A. Noire and Lost Angels).
The show chronicles the exploits of the post-war LAPD as they fight to take down the crime-empire of gangster Mickey Cohen. Sound familiar? They made a movie about the same thing called Gangster Squad. It bombed. That's a good sign, right?
Aside from resurrecting Darabont, Mob City also boasts Walking Dead actors (a.k.a. victims) Jon Bernthal (Shane) and Jeffrey DeMunn (Dale). At this rate, it's only a matter of time before Sophia, Merle, and T-Dog show up looking for work.
Mob City begins in December on TNT.
