Despite the Denver Broncos best efforts to hand the San Diego Chargers a win on Monday night, the Chargers were an unwilling recipient and decided that they would rather just re-gift it right back to Peyton Manning and the Broncos. After going up 10-0 thanks to back-to-back special teams fumbles by the Broncos, and after going up 24-0 at the half, San Diego melted down as bad as anyone in recent memory.
Manning also caught fire, going 13 of 14 in the second half for 167 yards while his counterpart Philip Rivers threw four interceptions, with one getting returned for the game sealing TD. Rivers also fumbled twice, and one of those went for a TD. It was about as ugly as a loss could get. Not only did the Chargers blow a chance for a two game lead in the AFC West, now they're tied with Denver as both head into a bye week. But while Denver is feeling good, San Diego has to be wondering what the eff just happened.
