GAMING

This magical mysterious clip of NBA Live 13 offers hope that the game is not cancelled and, in fact, exists in some capacity somewhere out there. It's worth a look really because we've seen so little of Live 13 in action. We caught a glimpse of the game at E3 and it looked very early, raw and unpolished. A lot of the programming/AI elements were stripped down, it seems.
This fresh clip has a bit more polish with the addition of full announcing audio, it seems, and a full front end/presentation. What should be cause for concern is the animation of the players. Just watch as player after player jumps in the air holding the ball in front of their chests. Whether it's a rebound, a shot, a pass or any other move, the guy will hold the ball in front of his chest.....the same way Dr J and Larry Bird did it in their classic video game 95 years ago. With the fluidity of NBA 2K these days, this kind of default/hub animation is unacceptable. All games are potentially perfect until they're released but the stiffness and limited range of motion of the players is a major red flag.
This is why we went with Baron Davis in our header image: he too knows what it's like to persevere despite limited range of motion.
