Back in the day, Casper and Voltron were big names in the entertainment industry. They eventually faded into obscurity when the likes of Invader Zim and the Teen Titans took over. But while they may have been replaced, they were never forgotten.
You might think that all these once-beloved cartoon personalities would remain buried, as they currently are. After all, they've had their run and so much time has already passed since their last appearance. But if Dreamworks has their way, then we'll probably be treated to a couple more films featuring the most iconic characters of the seventies, eighties and nineties.
That's because they've just announced their acquisition of Classic Media, which owns the rights to long-running shows and characters like:
First of all, this begs the question: is this really necessary? Can a new generation learn to appreciate the awesomeness of these characters, or will old fans merely be turned off by the revival and reboot efforts of Dreamworks?
