Of all the events that will take place at the Olympics in London, one of the most popular tickets is for the shortest event, the men's 100M dash. The popular favorite of course is going to be the current fastest man in the world, Jamaica's Usain Bolt.
If anyone is going to overtake him it will be a pair of guys that were facing off in the finals of the U.S. team trials on Sunday--Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin. The top three finishers make the squad so coming in first is not as important, but no one wants to lose.
The finish was a close one with Gatlin recording a time of 9.8 and Gay 9.86. Third place went to 23-year old Ryan Bailey. Bolt recently ran a 9.79 on June 7. Looks like we might have a heck of a race coming up in London folks!
