The New York Giants got to visit the White House on Friday; one of the perks (if you want to call it that) of winning the previous Super Bowl. For the most part it was as unremarkable as any other visit by any other champion team. The President got to add a new jersey to his collection (sorry Obama--no Bears) and made some nice remarks on what was a very nice day on the South Lawn.
Overall it was just nice.
Head coach Tom Coughlin made it memorable thanks to a sound bite that I have no doubt will get played over and over on countless radio and television shows. I'd tell you what it is, but than you'd have no reason to watch the video.
President Obama had a nice little sound bite as well when he talked about what he and the Giants have in common.
"We both have a goal," he said. "To get back here next year."
