Making a living through surfing must be tough. You spend all year traveling to some of the most beautiful places in the world so that you can do something you love to the delight of fans in attendance. Of course in some cases, like in the video above, wipe out and there is a decent chance that you end up sleeping with the fishes.
Garret McNamara rode this beast last November in Nazare, Portugal. Recently it was confirmed to be the largest wave ever ridden measuring 78 feet from trough to crest, one foot larger than the one Mike Parsons road at Cortes Bank off Southern California in 2008.
