There were only two games in the NBA Playoffs on Thursday night, and they both ended up pretty much the same. New York lost at home to Miami to go down 0-3, and Dallas lost at home to Oklahoma City to go down 0-3.
Miami 87 - New York 70
The Knicks are terrible, especially with Amar'e Stoudemire on the bench with his arm in a sling after losing a fight with a fire extinguisher case and nearly losing half of his hand. New York had nothing going, and the Heat cruised to the win behind LeBron James' 32 points, 8 boards and 5 assists. Dwyane Wade added 20 points and Chris Bosh made it to the game after the birth of his son earlier in the day to grab 10 boards and score 9 points. This series is over, basically, and I'm sure being down 0-3 won't do anything for the Knicks interest. At least Kate Upton was at the game.
Oklahoma City 96 - Dallas 79
The defending champ Mavericks are pretty much toast after falling at home to the far more athletic Thunder, 96-79. Kevin Durant dominated the first half with 21 of his 31 points coming in the first 24 minutes. As a team, the Thunder only turned the ball over 8 times, and Dallas couldn't hit the broad side of a barn during the second and third quarters, managing only 8 field goals in that span. That's embarrassing, especially at home. The win gives the Thunder a 3-0 lead.
Back to the Knicks, here's Tyson Chandler talking about being named Defensive Player of the Year. He's the first Knick to win the honor.
