The New York Knicks continue to implode. After getting easily beaten on the court by the Miami Heat last night, 104 to 91, the Knicks lost Amar'e Stoudemire. Stoudemire reportedly punched a case holding a fire extinguisher in the locker room following the game, severely cutting his non-shooting hand. The Heat lead 2-0 heading back to New York.
Paramedics were called to the arena to treat Stoudemire, who tweeted an apology to his team and fans for doing something so dumb, which might keep him out of the rest of the playoffs. In reality, 'the rest of the playoffs' for the Knicks should only be two more games, anyway.
The Indiana Pacers evened up their series at 1-1 with the Orlando Magic, taking care of business with a 93-78 home win.
Oklahoma City and Dallas played another close game, with OKC holding on for a 102-99 win to take a 2-0 lead. It was a chippy game, with Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki getting into it early with OKC's Kendrick Perkins.
OKC jumped out to a 16 point lead in the first half, but let the Mavs get back into it. The knock last year on the Thunder was that they couldn't close games out, and even though they let the defending champs get back in it, Oklahoma City stayed composed enough to hang on for the win.
